You might begin to think we are going 'batty' or should that be 'squirrely'. Is that a word? Don't know for sure, but we have been working hard finishing up our kitchen. We have come a long way, but the progress shows little improvement. We are forever taking a break to lunch, dinner, or shopping for something else instead of doing the work. Which isn't all that much fun. Dick has found a new pastime when it gets a bit overwhelming. The following video is his latest entertainment and today was just too great to not share.
Cowboy is our favorite squirrel because he thinks he is our pet. If we don't come out with a peanut in the morning when we get the paper, he waits on the window sill for us. We try to ignore him sometimes, but mostly he stares from one of us to the other at the breakfast table like.."Are you in there?"
Today Dick has the flu or just a really bad something and spent some time in the swing enjoying the great sunshine. Cowboy loved every minute we were there and dominated most of the time. Sometimes after eating so many peanuts he will just sprawl down on the deck or patio for a rest! This video is just what he did over and over until "Peanut", the little female, came for her share of nuts!

STOP and go to the Goodbye Ducks below first!
Well, I thought I would be so smart and get these in order so you could read them from top to bottom and instead it turned the bottom to top. So when you read these, go to the Goodbye Ducks first!! Today shows us all kinds of change. Just look at the colors we have had in the kitchen. Shelly, I was stunned when I saw your color on the walls under the wallpaper. No wonder you have a pumpkin color bathroom. It is a great color!
Is it cream? Is it Yellow?
No it is a Pumpkin color! Remember this color?
Actually, I like this color...What do you think

What color is it?
Well, here is the beginning of the changes in the kitchen. Dad is sad that his ducks are gone, but look at the change. Who would have believed that there were three layers on the sofit. Does anyone one other than Rebecca remember what was under the ducks? If you do you might qualify for a treat....so call and let us know. After a full day of steaming the walls, this is the progress for the night. What do you think?
Goodbye Ducks!
Here they are...look and cry or shout for joy. These ducks have been with us much too long and this is their final show. They have witnessed many memories in our fun kitchen. I am sure that is why Dad is sad to see them go, but they don't take the memories. We still have them.

The Woodlands
I can't believe another week has passed since we were in The Woodlands enjoying the wonderful weather and having fun with our Texas grand kids. We followed up our excursion to Rebeccas with another week in
We had a great time playing games, putting puzzles together, playing tennis, having magic shows, painting rooms, visiting the Blue Bell Factory (Ice Cream), swinging in the big long swings from the tall trees in their back yard and
Dick and Gavin made a challenge bet about hitting the tennis ball in to the basket. Gavin had to pay Dick a 25รง for each basket he got and was going into debt, when Gavin hit the basket in one shot! Bingo! Gavin stuck it rich with a $10 bill! We all took a shot at it and found it wasn't as easy as it looked.
This is the sign the kids made and greeted us in the middle of the street when
